AWARDS

When I talk about my career, there are awards— but it's a track record of consistently pushing the boundaries and setting new standards

With the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE), I was named Event Professional of the Year, and three times I took home Entertainment Company of the Year.

At the International Live Events Association, I earned multiple Texas Star Awards—one for Best Team Effort over $200,000, another for Best Team Effort under $75,000. I know how to maximize any budget and deliver results. I was also nominated for the National Esprit Award, and for several years, I picked up Gold and Silver medals at the Industry Olympics. It’s not just about showing up, it’s about showing up at your best, every time.

I’ve been honored with the Wayne Gilly Award, which is the Key to the City of Lawton, Oklahoma.

It started in college where I was recognized with the Outstanding Student Award for the Automotive Aftermarket which is a sophomore award and I was the only freshman ever to receive the award.

✨Adding a little sparkle to the shelf ✨ Thank you Texas Star Awards!

ASSOCIATIONS

I've had the privilege of serving on boards that define an industry

  • NACE (Executive Board): Shaped education, certification, and networking standards

  • ILEA (Executive Board): Worked with global leaders behind the world’s most influential live events

  • MPI (DFW Chapter): Led fundraising to strengthen the largest meetings association worldwide

  • TxACom (Board Member): Tackled the operational grind — balancing client, employer, and supplier demands

These weren’t just titles, these were positions that got work done in the industry. These roles gave me a front-row seat to how the industry actually runs — and how to make it run better.

My life has been in Service of Others

Long before my first job, I was already learning what loyalty, leadership, and execution meant — not from books, but by doing the work.

The values of leadership, loyalty, trust, and service were instilled early. I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which doesn’t just teach you how to tie knots or start fires—it teaches you self-discipline and perseverance.

I am deeply proud of my time as a young man in DeMolay International. My father was a 32nd Degree Mason and I learned the importance of loyalty and brotherhood while he served as a Mason and I as a DeMolay.

I was President of the Kiwanians Builders Club in Lawton, Oklahoma. My mother was the first Woman President of Kiwanis International in the Texas / Oklahoma Region. Working next to my mom was where I learned how to build community from the ground up.

As President of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) during college, I led initiatives that combined entrepreneurial thinking with real-world impact.

I was also a Freshman Representative and later the Athletics Coordinator for the Student Senate at college, both roles that gave me hands-on experience in leadership and governance.

Each of these roles taught me to be confident, reliable, and driven by service to others—traits that have followed me through my entire career.

MEDIA

The Press Doesn’t Call by Accident

Adweek doesn’t hand out ink for nothing. If your name shows up, it’s because you’ve done something that matters. Cameron Fox isn’t just another operator — he’s someone the industry pays attention to. When the trade bible for marketing and media calls you out by name, it’s not PR fluff. It’s a receipt.

The Father of Market Intelligence and Master of Geopolitical Strategy

I’ve had the privilege of being featured in two books by Dr. Grooms, which, to be honest, is a testament more to his generosity than my qualifications.

Tom's a bestselling author who’s written over twenty books, covering everything from China and Russia to Intelligence, Espionage, Military Defense, and the Family Business. His work blends geopolitical strategy with market intelligence in a way that few others can match.

Tom Grooms is the Father of Market Intelligence and a full-time writer of some of the most insightful historical nonfiction out there.

Creating Opportunity: My Role in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium’s Grand Opening

When the Dallas Cowboys Stadium opened in Arlington, they needed the best. Corporate clients, coming from every corner of the globe, were looking for the right partner for events and team-building experiences in this new iconic venue. And when they said “team-building,” they called on us. We were the ones the Dallas Cowboys turned to.

And being featured in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium Experience brochure, handed out during the stadium’s event industry grand opening, it wasn’t just another marketing piece. It was a statement—a reminder that the work was recognized at the highest level.

“None of this was here before I got here. I created this. This has happened because of me and my efforts. A lot of people are counting on me, so push forward. Not everyone gets the opportunity to do this for a living.”

Meet the Influential Fire Starter

Evidently, I’m a Fire Starter. Being featured in Special Event Magazine as one of their "Fire Starters" in the Meet the Influentials series was a humbling moment in my career—a recognition of how far hard work and collaboration can take you in the event industry.

During this time, I was awarded multiple Texas Star Awards from the International Live Events Association, including recognition for Best Team Effort in both the over $200,000 and under $75,000 categories and nominated for the prestigious National Esprit Award.

Recognized and Published: My Editor’s Choice Award

Let’s be clear—poetry isn’t exactly a booming business, but when you get recognized for it, there’s a level of pride that transcends profit.

I was fortunate enough to receive the Editor’s Choice Award from the National Library of Poetry, and as part of that recognition, my work was published in their anthology With Flute and Drum and Pen.
